Issue: Mic not working on certain apps on Windows 10
Summary: My Mic wouldn't work on a certain app in Windows 10 but worked fine for all other apps.
Fix: I uninstalled my sound driver by going to Device Manager, to do this click on the search box on the taskbar and type devmgmt. msc. Once open click on the > symbol next to sound, video and game controllers, find your sound card, rightclick on the card and click then click uninstall. Put a check in the box where it says "Delete the driver software for this device" then click uninstall. If your PC asks to restart click no and close the Device Manager window.
Download, install and run Ccleaner. Click on the start button once the program is open and let it run until finished, now click on Registry on the lefthand side and click scan for issues. This will clean any remaining files associated with your sound card and any registry settings the card needed for Windows. Once the scan is finished click Review selected issues then click save and click save again, click fix issue then close. Repeat this step until no more issues are found then close Ccleaner.
Download a working driver from Creative (Your sound card) which can be found here Follow the steps and restart when prompted.
Your Mic should be working again once your PC is restarted.
