Back in the days of XP and Vista, users had the option to use Ctrl Alt Del to log out if they thought the logout/shut down option via the Start menu wasn't secure enough.

So for those using older versions of Windows in a Virtual machine and would like to enable Ctrl Alt Del to log out then type this into the run box "netplwiz" put a check the box once prompted and you are all set.
